Bought this to use as a streamer rod for the boat with my clients but I will be using it quite a bit myself for sure. Great action, crisp and not too fast.

I like the feel of this rod a lot, it casts nicely and handles big fish just fine. I like the slower feel of the rod, but it has good backbone and I can pick up line very quickly, one thing I’ve noticed is my hook sets are a lot better with this rod. I have only fished Stillwater since getting it but I feel it’ll really shine on the river. I feel for the price point this is a great choice no matter what the skill level, if you’re looking for a budget friendly all around rod.

A great no nonsense rod at a great price. I like the action well enough and I can get the fly where it needs to go. Haven't had it out enough to have it completely dialed, but I also don't need it to work miracles. Very good and close and middle distances, nice tight loops, and sends line real well. Handsome rod / reel combo and excellent quality. No complaints, as usual.

I am still a new comer to the sport of fly fishing. This is my second rod and when I used it for the first I feel in love with the rod. I can tell I am improving my techniques each time out. Thanks Lamson.
